basic tracing and connecting: workbook 4.6

connecting - straight lines and angles
Why connecting dots activities are important

When children connect two dots or multiple dots in a string with drawing tools, they simultaneously follow and compare their evolving lines with printed dots. This process strengthen visual-motor integration and fine-motor hand and fingers movements control.
Connecting dots activities stimulate acquisition of basic graphomotor, fine-motor and pre-writing skills and competences which later play important role in development of writing and other important fine-motor skills.

Worksheets and activities in this workbook
Activities in this workbook stimulate children’s ability to draw longer lines and ability to change direction of drawing while connecting dots. Strings of dots differ in their length and spacing between the dots.

Workbook contains 88 worksheets.
Activities and tasks difficulty increase throughout the workbook in three ways:
-
by increasing length of the strings of dots,
-
by changing inclination and complexity of the lines,
-
by increased distance between dots.
