Visual-motor integration recources and activities
PATHS AND CHANELLING
Channeling is drawing a line in the middle of the path between two guiding lines.
As children continuously check the distance of their lines from guiding lines, and their brains initiate hands and fingers micro-movements to correct the direction of the drawn line, fine-motor hand movement control is reinforced.
Chanelling activities start with wide and straight paths, and then gradually change to narrow and curvy paths as the child’s skill level improves.
